St. Luke's International Hospital Branch Clinic, St. Luke's MediLocus

About MediLocus

At this clinic we specialize in
primary care and preventive medicine
building on the proud tradition of
St. Luke’s International Hospital.

"Tradition × Creation"
New location, new St. Luke’s

Since St. Luke’s International Hospital’s founding in 1901, it has continually evolved and developed to provide optimal medical care services while remaining highly sensitive to changes in society and the environment as well as the diversification of healthcare needs under the belief of Christian love. We believe in respect for patients and healthcare based on physical and mental support of patients and a team approach, which has now spread throughout the nation as the standard of medical and nursing care.

In 1954, St. Luke’s International Hospital also led the movement towards comprehensive health screenings in Japan, an innovative foresight that has been instrumental to establish the practice of preventive medicine in our society.

Then, in 2012, St. Luke’s MediLocus opened its doors in Otemachi 1-chome. Otemachi, Japan’s financial hub originating in Ginza since the Edo era, is a place not only with its side as a global business district, but also one plentiful in historical architecture and art. For all those who visit this robust area, with St. Luke’s International Hospital as a powerful ally in support, we offer quality primary care and reliable preventive medicine.

St. Luke's MediLocus is a clinic that brings the history and experience of St. Luke's quality medical care and hospitality to the international financial and business center of the capital city of Tokyo. In addition to primary care, we also offer services in cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, psychosomatic medicine, and radiology, as well as women's medicine, breast surgery, and dermatology conducted by experienced specialists. We have also established a smoking cessation clinic and specialized outpatient clinics to treat sleep apnea and hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndromes. We provide medical services using state-of-the-art medical equipment such as those regarding CT, MRI, PET-CT, ultrasound machines, and endoscopes, and also accept direct imaging requests from neighboring medical institutions. To add to this, when patients require highly specialized tests or treatment, we have a system in place to smoothly collaborate with our main facility, St. Luke's International Hospital, and refer patients directly to the respective specialized departments for consultation or hospitalization.

In the area of health checkups, St. Luke's established the St. Luke's MediLocus Club as a membership-based health support service. In addition to early detection of diseases, the club offers various services aimed at maintaining health and curing "unwellness" by proposing an optimal lifestyle for each member. Through our in-house training gym, conditioning coaches, in partnership with R-body, professionals in the field of exercise and the body, provide guidance using tailor-made exercise programs to enhance life performance. All physicians in charge of the health checkups are specialists in their respective fields, and they provide accurate evaluations and seamless services from detailed examinations to necessary medical treatment. We would like to reiterate that all of the clinic’s activities are realized in the spirit of people-centered care, the true spirit of St. Luke's tradition of cordial hospitality.
