One of the main roles of this clinic is to support the health management of people working in the Otemachi district. To manage lifestyle-related disorders, which show increasing onset rates from around age 40, consultations on nutrition and diet are provided by a dietician, while highly specialized diagnostic devices are available to narrow down suspected disease conditions. In case the need arises to be hospitalized or undergo more specialized consultations at other clinical departments, close cooperation with St. Luke’s International Hospital ensures smooth follow-up and comprehensive care. Please contact our department of General Internal Medicine anytime if you have any symptoms or concerns, irrelevant of whether there is an association with lifestyle-related disorders. We can serve the role of your home doctor where you have your initial consultation.

I am a U.S.-trained and U.S.-board certified Internal Medicine physician committed to ensuring that foreign patients visiting or living in Japan can access and enjoy the technologically advanced, high-quality, and safe care for which Japan is known. With a focus on general care of adults, I believe that quality of life is maximized when patients partner with a caring primary care physician—whether for acute health needs, care of chronic conditions, or preventive healthcare. As a generalist, I care for individuals with primary care conditions across a wide spectrum of organ systems, including allergy, infectious disease, gastrointestinal medicine, dermatology, respiratory medicine, and endocrinology, as well as non-invasive orthopedics, ENT, urology, and more. As I know foreign patients living in Japan can have unique health needs, I am happy to consult on second opinions and can help patients find the right English-speaking specialist for optimal care of more advanced conditions.

Specialties: General internal medicine, primary care, and diagnostic care for patients 15 years old and above.

Main diseases/disorders treated

  • Internal medicine conditions in general
  • Other symptoms for which we treat patients include hayfever, insomnia, etc.
  • Bladder infections are treated, but specialized tests/treatment of urinary disorders and sexually transmitted diseases cannot be performed.
