HOW WE HELP OUR VISITORS

Consultation and Evaluation

Our physician assesses your condition on doctor's questionnaire, visual inspection and examination on the gynecology chair. The exam can be done during menstruation. The physician evaluates your organs, including the genital area, vagina and cervix by abdominal palpation and vaginal examination. A pap smear is done during examination.

Transvaginal Ultrasound

A transvaginal ultrasound is an exam to look at the uterus, ovaries and cervix with a long thin vaginal probe which is placed in the vagina. The exam can be done during menstruation. This exam one of the best way to diagnose myoma or ovarian tumor.

Pap Smear

A pap smear test is an exam to screen for cervical cancer and help detect cervical dysplasia.
The physician collects a sample of sells with a cervical brush (or cotton swab) against your cervix.

Mammogram

Mammography is an X-ray exam of the breasts done by compressing them from different sides.
As some women may find mammography painful, please let us know if you are unable to tolerate the procedure.
This test helps detect non-palpable lesions or lumps (breast cancer, benign breast tissue, calcifications, etc.)
The compression paddle holds your breast to keep it from moving and to spread out your breast tissue to obtain a clearer picture.
Stretching the breast tissue like this makes it easier to find a lesion and decreases radiation exposure.
※A recent study shows that mammography performed at an rarly age(under 30) may increase the risk of breast cancer.
For this reason, mammography is not offered to women under the age of 30.

Breast Ultrasound

A breast ultrasound observes the mammary tissue using an instrument pressed to the breast surface.
This examination helps detect non-palpable lesions or lumps (breast cancer, benign breast tissue calcifications, etc.).
This exam is best for dense breasts. You do not have to worry about pain and radiation exposure.
Breast ultrasound is a suitable test for younger women and those with dense breasts on mammography.
Evidence of breast cancer mortality reduction by screening via breast ultrasound examination is not currently available but is offered our clinic as a way to detect breast cancer in those with dense breast tissue.
